Every year Pantone, international authority for colour promotes one colour. For this year they have chosen Marsala. The name Marsala comes from the Italian wine produced in the city of Marsala in Sicily. In the Indian context, its more like a watered down and sun faded version of Gheru (brick red) minus the yellows.
